La Paz!

We are at La Paz (and finally in the Sea of Cortez).

The dolphins are amazing! The species of dolphins we've seen the most are common dolphins (look them up!) They ride the bow more often than most other dolphins. One night we were sailing along and there was a little bit of bioluminescence and dolphins rode our bow for half an hour, and one jumped all the way out of the water!

There were manta rays at the last place we stayed and they were doing flips out of the water!

The picture here is of one of the boats we know getting rubbed by a grey whale.

Lizard

Last time I went up to Bachan's house my mom was putting things away and picked up a box, and behind it was a lizard. I caught it and put it outside. It was about 5 inches long plus a 3 inch tail.

Cute cute cute cute cute cute CUTE!!!!!!!!

Chloe is adorable with her chubby snout,floppy ears chubby legs and stubby tail.
She really likes to tug on pants....even though I doubt the pants appreciate it.

Chloe also likes to play with my cat Mango.
Mango will jump up on to a fence barely out of Chloe's reach and tease her with his tail.

hawaii

I went to Hawaii about a month ago!

Bachan (my grandma) rented a house for my cousins (Drew and Kyle and Sara), my aunt (Cindy), my uncle (Bob), Todd, my mama, me and her to stay in. We went snorkeling at Hanauma Bay and boogie boarding at a bunch of different places, Todd and Uncle Bob even tried surfing. Then we went to Sea Life Park where there are dolphins, turtles, bat rays, penguins, black tip reef sharks, sea lions and lots of colorful fish.

There was even a wholphin, a cross between a whale and a dolphin!!!!!!!!!!!!!

swim meet!

Yesterday I went to a swim meet,
I was going to swim in three events 53,(100 breaststroke.)59(50 back.)and 67(50free.)
Me and my mama got there to late for the hundred breast,but in free and back I got ribbons!!!!!!!!!!!!
They where both seventh place.

This gray ball of fuzz is so cute!
I went to my friend's house for a sleep over there was a puppy there and my instincts told me one thing.................PET PUPPY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So thats what I did, then I was puppyified!

STEPS FOR BEING PUPPYIFIED

1. lie on your back.

2. get your friend to put puppy on your belly.

3.let puppy crawl all over you,lick you and nibble your toes!!!!!!!!

(warning)
if puppy bites toes to hard lift leg up into the air puppy will be lifted up into the air for a awhile
then fall.

Nature studies-forest fire!!!!!!!

At nature studies a few days ago we hiked to a place where there had been a forest fire,
on the way there we collected edible plants.(such as huckleberry, redwood sorrel and dug fir.)
When we got to the forest fire had been some of the people in the plants group smeared charcoal over there faces-it looked just like black face paint!

At the end of the day we put the plants in a thermos of boiling water to make tea yum!!!!!!!!!

Nature studies

At Nature studies yesterday we went on a hike.

Sky and two other instructors put clues on the trail to bring us to nature's playground then attacked us with marshmallow guns-but one of them had ate all of his marshmallows!

(Else then one of them that he missed with.)

hidden villa/home schoolers field trip

At hidden villa first I made wool bracelets.First you card the wool with two combs and then you twist the wool well some one pulls it then let go of it and it turns into a bracelet!
Then I went to the pig sty and found out that jello was made with pig's feet!

Nature studies-survival skills

Today at Nature studies we split up into two groups and made are own survival structures!
At the end of the day we would pour water on both of them with the instructors inside of them.
First you need a good place for the structure, near a source water(that is if your lost in the woods.)
STEPS FOR MAKING A STRUCTURE

1. Find an extra big stump.

2. Find a stick slightly longer then you are and lay it on the stump.

3. Lay medium large sticks across make sure their criss crossed.(Right left right left all the way to the top.)Remember to leave a door facing north.

4. Pile duff(Redwood is nice.)on top of it there should be a foot of duff.

5. (Optional.) Use water test!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Are structure succeeded and kept water out.Hopefully yours will to or else...................
